Job description

Experteer Overview As Principal Systems Engineer, you will lead integration, qualification, and fielding of Active Protection System technologies, coordinating with suppliers, primes, and US military customers. You will own system architecture, requirements, verification, and vehicle integration, while guiding cross-functional teams through testing, safety, logistics, and documentation. The role involves substantial travel and a focus on lifecycle management from design to fielded solutions. This is a high-impact position shaping cutting-edge defense tech within a collaborative, high-performance culture. Compensation / Benefits * Define and evolve system architecture and requirements for Active Protection System technologies * Lead integration, testing, verification, and fielding activities * Manage requirement databases, traceability, and verification methods * Oversee safety, reliability, logistics, and obsolescence planning * Draft and maintain design documentation and blueprints; support field deployments * Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers; collaborate with customers and suppliers Tasks * Associate’s Degree in Engineering or related field * 8-10 years of engineering experience * Discipline/Major: Engineering degree required * Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) * Ability to obtain DoD Secret Security Clearance (existing clearance preferred) * Willingness to travel 25-50% * Experience in full lifecycle technology development in Aerospace/Defense (preferred) Key requirements * Medical, dental, vision * Disability and life insurance * 401k plan with company contributions * Paid time off and holidays * Non-Contributory Retirement Contribution * Voluntary benefits options
