Senior Backend Developer

Job Description We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer with strong technical leadership skills to help shape and evolve our backend platform.You will act as a technical reference for the team, take ownership of backend architecture, improve code quality and engineering standards, and help drive a more mature, engineering?focused culture.You will work on a SaaS platform built on .NET 10, running primarily on Azure PaaS, in an international, English-speaking environment.Responsibilities Design, build, and evolve scalable, secure, and maintainable backend systems.Lead backend development efforts, driving technical design and architectural decisions.Be a technical reference for the team also support and mentor other engineers Own the full software lifecycle-from concept and design to deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.Work across modern and legacy systems Collaborate with product, frontend, and DevOps teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.Champion engineering excellence by promoting best practices (Clean Code, SOLID, testing strategies).Architect and implement distributed systems and event-driven solutions.Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, reliable delivery.Ensure system reliability, performance, and observability in production environments.Mentor and support other developers through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and technical guidance.Contribute to technical documentation and ensure knowledge is shared effectively across the team.Qualifications 7+ years of experience in backend development, primarily with .NET / C#.Strong experience designing scalable and maintainable systems.Deep understanding of software engineering principles (Clean Architecture, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), unit/integration testing).Hands-on experience with REST and GraphQL APIs.Solid experience with relational databases (, SQL Server) and ORM tools such as Entity Framework Core.Experience with distributed or service-oriented architectures.Experience integrating authentication and authorization solutions (, Auth0) Strong knowledge of asynchronous communication patterns and messaging systems (, RabbitMQ, Kafka, Service Bus).Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows.Preferred Skills: Experience with Azure Functions, Azure Event Hubs, Azure Storage, and Azure AI Search Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (, Terraform) Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability in production systems Familiarity with Docker and containerized environments Prior experience in technical leadership or tech lead capacity
