Job description

Experteer Overview As Software Engineering Manager, you lead cross-functional teams to architect and deliver system software for accelerators in Google data centers. You shape long-term roadmaps, coach engineers, and drive reliable, high-performance AI infrastructure at scale. You collaborate across teams to integrate boards, firmware, and Linux drivers into distributed systems, enabling rapid deployment of accelerator-powered workloads. This role combines technical leadership with hands-on software ownership to advance Google’s AI capabilities. Compensation / Benefits * Define and evolve the architectural roadmap for system software powering accelerators and custom compute processors. * Co-design software stack from firmware and Linux drivers to large distributed systems; enforce engineering best practices. * Act as a Senior Technical Leadership Mentor, guiding execution, setting priorities, and providing performance feedback. * Drive ecosystem engagement and influence standards to accelerate deployment of accelerator appliances in data centers. * Modernize accelerator software teams by leveraging AI tools to improve workflows and development speed. Tasks * 8 years of software development experience in C/C++ on Linux * 7 years of embedded operating systems and firmware development * 5 years in technical leadership * 5 years in people management or team leadership * Experience with debugging, embedded processors, low-level platform bring-up, computer architecture, PCIe and high-speed I/O, data center servers, and AI platform development Key requirements * bonus target * equity * benefits
