Medical Analytics Data Engineer

Experteer Overview In this role you build and scale data infrastructure to support data scientists in developing care gaps and HCP prioritization models. You will partner with product and analytics leads to design architectures, ensure data quality, and deliver data products that accelerate analytics. The position emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, governance, and scalable data delivery to enable impactful healthcare insights. This is a chance to shape data engineering practices for advanced biomedical analytics at Pfizer. Compensation / Benefits * Design, develop, and optimize data architecture and pipelines feeding medical data into data lake for ongoing projects * Collaborate with product manager and data lead to craft technical architectures for analytical models * Identify data inputs required for analytics (e.g., claims data for unmet need analysis) and prepare datasets * Oversee data systems with data mgmt. lead to ensure accurate collection, storage, and processing * Enhance data infrastructure for scalability and automate data retrieval processes * Solve complex data problems to deliver actionable insights and analytics * Create data products to improve analytics team productivity and collaboration * Advise and mentor colleagues on data standards and practices * Lead evaluation and deployment of new tools and data engineering processes to boost productivity Tasks * Degree in Computer Sciences, Statistics, Clinical Informatics or similar * Experience in data engineering in healthcare; 5+ years with MBA/MS acceptable * Cross-functional collaboration experience; ability to influence and coach * Strong interpersonal and communication skills with stakeholders and leaders * Understanding of pharmaceutical business knowledge including regulatory and compliance aspects * Experience with infrastructure as code, data warehousing, and streaming tools (e.g., Airflow, Kafka) * Experience with Databricks and Dataiku DSS * Knowledge of taxonomy structures and tag management in digital analytics * Client-facing solutioning or evangelizing technology approaches (1+ year) * Technical programming and web technologies (JavaScript, HTML/CSS) Key requirements * 401(k) with Pfizer matching * retirement contribution * paid vacation and holidays * paid caregiver/parental and medical leave * comprehensive health benefits (medical, dental, vision) * relocation options depending on business needs
