Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated PhD candidate to join a newly funded research project focused on the development of Artificial Intelligence methods for the analysis of medical images and clinical decision support in neuromuscular diseases. We offer afully funded 3-year PhD positionat Instituto de Biomedicina de Sevilla(IBiS); Hospital Universitario Virgen delRocío / CSIC / Universidad de Sevilla.The project aims to develop state-of-the-art deep learning approaches capable of extracting clinically relevant information from routine diagnostic images, aiding clinicians improve disease detection and characterization.Related research topicsNeuromuscular diseases, deep learning and computer vision, bioimage analysis, convolutional neural networks, vision transformers, explainable AI and foundation models in bioimaging.Candidate ProfileRequiredEuropean IDMSc degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Bioinformatics, Biomedical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related disciplines.Strong programming skills.Excellent writing and communication skills in English.Motivation to pursue a PhD. Requirements

MSc degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Bioinformatics, Biomedical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related disciplines. Strong programming skills. Excellent writing and communication skills in English. Motivation to pursue a PhD. The selected candidate will be enrolled in the PhD programme in "Biología Integrada" at the University of Seville.
