Cloud FinOps Architect

Initially, you will support customer workshops through preparation, attendance, and follow-up activities, with the opportunity to move into a longer-term engagement delivering the full Cloud FinOps strategy., Define and maintain the enterprise Cloud FinOps strategy, roadmap, and target operating model. Design governance frameworks, standards, and architectural patterns for Cloud Financial Management. Lead Cloud FinOps transformation and maturity improvement initiatives. Analyse cloud consumption and identify opportunities for rightsizing, Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, storage optimisation, SaaS licence optimisation, and cost reduction. Develop budgeting, forecasting, chargeback, showback, and cost allocation models. Build executive dashboards, KPIs, reporting frameworks, and financial governance controls. Design and govern FinOps tooling and integrations across cloud, ERP, CMDB, ITSM, and Business Intelligence platforms. Support governance for AI, SaaS, GPU, Machine Learning, and Large Language Model (LLM) consumption. Work closely with Finance, Procurement, Enterprise Architecture, Cloud Engineering, Product Teams, and Technology Leadership to maximise the value of cloud investments. Present cloud financial insights, optimisation opportunities, and strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders.

The position is ideal for an experienced Cloud FinOps Architect with strong cloud architecture, financial management, governance, and enterprise transformation expertise., Significant experience in Cloud Architecture, FinOps, Cloud Operations, or Technology Financial Management. Proven experience implementing enterprise Cloud FinOps programmes. Strong experience across Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and hybrid cloud environments. Strong knowledge of cloud billing models, cloud financial governance, and cloud cost optimisation. Experience developing chargeback, showback, budgeting, forecasting, and cost allocation models. Hands-on experience with FinOps platforms including Apptio Cloudability, CloudHealth, Azure Cost Management, AWS Cost Explorer, and native cloud billing platforms. Experience integrating FinOps tooling with ERP platforms, CMDBs, ITSM platforms, and Business Intelligence solutions. Strong understanding of FinOps Foundation principles, Cloud Well-Architected Frameworks, Enterprise Architecture, ITIL, and IT Asset Management (ITAM). Experience supporting AI, SaaS, GPU, Machine Learning, and Large Language Model (LLM) cost governance would be highly advantageous. Excellent stakeholder management, commercial awareness, analytical, and executive communication skills. FinOps Certified Practitioner, FinOps Certified Professional, Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Solutions Architect, TOGAF, or ITIL certifications would be advantageous.
