Job description

Experteer Overview As Principal Data Scientist you will lead strategic data analyses that drive organizational decisions. You’ll partner with functional areas to deliver data-driven work products aligned with enterprise strategy and own multiple large data science and engineering projects. You will build integrated data models and scalable pipelines while developing production models to solve complex healthcare business challenges. The role demands communicating insights to executives and cross-functional teams to shape business directions. Compensation / Benefits * Lead hypothesis development and testing across functional data sets * Guide requirements gathering from business and technical staff * Define integrated data models aggregating data from multiple sources * Design and develop scalable data pipelines for ingestion, cleansing, transformation, integration and validation * Define data stores meeting system and consumer needs * Develop models using data mining, statistics, predictive, stochastic, pattern recognition and network analysis * Create production models using Python and R * Engineer new data sets and perform SQL data querying and data quality resolution * Apply Big Data concepts to data engineering and analytic implementation * Lead development and reviews of complex analytic models and algorithms * Identify actionable insights and influence business direction through cross-functional communication * Document analytic processes with validation and performance checks * Engage with enterprise areas to incorporate audit feedback into processes (e.g., Payment Integrity, SIU, Provider, Behavioral Health, Med Policy, Claims, Pharmacy) * Articulate analytic methods to drive business outcomes with senior leadership * Mentor other analysts and present syntheses to executive leadership Tasks * Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree (where required) * 8+ years of experience in related field * In lieu of degree, 10+ years of experience in related field * Experience with Snowflake * Experience building AI Agents * Understanding of Bell curve analysis * Ability to incorporate industry benchmarks in analysis * Outlier detection skills * Strong healthcare experience with Payment Integrity/FWA knowledge (CMS guidelines and policy preferred) Key requirements * Annual Incentive Bonus * 401(k) with employer match * Paid Time Off (PTO) * competitive health benefits and wellness programs * Total Rewards package
