Job description
Experteer Overview In this role you will design, deploy, and secure enterprise networks across classified and unclassified environments to enable mission-critical operations. You will lead network modernization efforts, drive security and compliance with CMMC and Zero Trust, and automate tasks to improve reliability and efficiency. You will collaborate with cybersecurity, systems, and external partners to maintain resilient, scalable networks. This is a hands-on, impactful position at a research-focused, employee-owned organization. Compensation / Benefits * Design, implement, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure across classified and unclassified environments * Administer and optimize network deployments * Support routing and switching operations (OSPf, VLANs, STP) and enterprise segmentation * Perform advanced root cause analysis of complex incidents * Plan upgrades, patching, and lifecycle refresh with minimal disruption * Develop and maintain diagrams, SOPs, and implementation plans * Automate network configuration, compliance, and deployment tasks * Implement and maintain CMMC-compliant network configurations * Support Zero Trust Architecture (posture assessment, policy enforcement, access control) * Manage enterprise-scale switch provisioning and configuration standardization * Monitor network health using enterprise management tools * Coordinate with cybersecurity, systems, and external organizations for changes and vulnerability remediation Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in a related field and minimum 4 years of experience or graduate degree with 2 years, or 8+ years in lieu of degree * 6+ years of experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure in a DoD, federal, or similarly regulated environment * Hands-on experience with Juniper and Cisco devices * Experience applying and maintaining CMMC compliance * Experience leading technical training or mentoring junior staff * Experience with network automation using scripting and templates Key requirements * employer matching 401(k) * Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) * medical, vision, and dental insurance * paid leave * parential leave * short-term and long-term disability
