Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) Technician

• Final Testing & Validation: Confirm equipment performance against customer specifications
• Configuration: Set up electrical components, firmware, and communications
• Troubleshooting: Resolve electrical, mechanical, PLC, and software faults
• Safety Assurance: Verify EPOs, interlocks, and alarms operate correctly
• Automation Readiness: Teach and calibrate robotic systems
• System Proving: Test valves, pumps, fluid flow systems, automation functions, and customer recipes
• Quality Audits: Complete final inspections and precise documentation
• Customer Readiness: Support inspections and demonstrate machine functionality

• 4+ years with electromechanical equipment build/test/troubleshooting
• Strong diagnostic ability across electrical and mechanical systems
• Hands-on experience with PLC-controlled systems and test procedures
• Fluent in reading electrical schematics and P&ID drawings
• Ability to establish PC-to-equipment communications
• Windows, Microsoft Office, and Excel proficiency
• Working knowledge of industrial communication protocols
• Analytical, methodical problem-solver

Preferred: Experience testing manufacturing or industrial equipment Tools You’ll Work With

Credentials

• Technical degree, trade school, military technical training, or equivalent hands-on experience preferred
• High School Diploma or GED required

Physical Requirements & Environment

• Stand/walk for long periods; lift up to 50 lbs
• Bend, kneel, crouch, climb ladders; perform fine motor tasks
• Operate near machinery and live electrical systems
• PPE required at all times
• Fast-paced production setting with tight deadlines
• Occasional travel may be required
