Senior Database Administrator (Top Secret Cleared)

Experteer Overview In this role you will administer and optimize databases for a federal program supporting DOJ FBI operations, combining on-premises SQL Server and cloud-based AWS solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design data structures, enable reporting, and ensure performance and security across mission-critical systems. You’ll contribute to enterprise services enhancements and support a strategic lab program with a focus on reliability and data integrity. This is a high-impact, clearance-sensitive position in Quantico offering hybrid work. You will shape database operations to improve efficiency and provide insights through BI tooling. Compensation / Benefits * Design, develop, optimize, and maintain complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, and scripts for enterprise applications and reporting * Monitor and tune performance through query optimization, indexing strategies, and execution plan analysis * Develop and continuously improve index management and statistics optimization * Develop, design, and support Power BI datasets with SQL integration * Develop and optimize Power BI DAX expressions for advanced reporting and analytics * Experience with complex data structures and integrations across units * Create and map entity relationship diagrams * Ensure database performance via proactive query optimization Tasks * US citizenship with active Top-Secret clearance * Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field, or 3 additional years of experience * Minimum of 8 years’ experience recommended * Strong proficiency in SQL query writing, tuning, and performance optimization * Solid understanding of database architecture and design * Knowledge of database security and access controls * Advanced knowledge of SQL and database query languages * Troubleshooting, performance tuning, and query optimization experience * Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills * Ability to work independently and in a team * Experience monitoring, updates, upgrades, testing, and preventative maintenance of Database Platforms Key requirements *
