Staff Software Engineer, AI Platform

Experteer Overview As Platform Engineer on the Agent Studio team, you will design and ship robust platform capabilities while actively enabling product teams to deploy AI agents in production. You’ll collaborate with consuming teams to co-build agents, translate their needs into scalable platform features, and evaluate emerging AI frameworks. You’ll own runtime, security, observability, and API contracts, ensuring a self-serve, cross-org platform that accelerates agent-driven workflows in construction tech. Compensation / Benefits * Co-build agents with product teams and drive adoption via office hours, guides, and reference implementations * Align platform capabilities with built-environment personas (GCs, Subcontractors, Owners, PMs, Field Engineers) * Translate team requirements into generalized platform roadmaps and concrete proposals * Evaluate and adopt emerging agent frameworks and tools with the AI Architect and leads * Design agent runtime, tool registry, and security controls including process isolation and credential scoping * Build automated testing harnesses, LLM-as-a-judge pipelines, regression tracking, and quality dashboards * Own end-to-end agent observability: tracing, session replay, cost attribution, latency profiling * Maintain MCP servers, third-party tool integrations, and versioned platform API schemas for cross-org use Tasks * 5+ years of software engineering experience * At least 2 years in developer platforms, internal tooling, or infrastructure * Hands-on production experience with LLM applications or agentic systems * Proficient in Python and/or TypeScript; comfortable with Go codebases * Experience designing and maintaining REST or GraphQL APIs * Strong understanding of agent architecture: tool usage, multi-step reasoning, memory management, outputs, error handling * Bias for action with ability to ship rapidly while maintaining platform integrity * Familiarity with ConTech landscape (Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Buildertrend, OpenSpace) * Understanding of core customer personas in the built environment Key requirements * base pay range: 168,560.00 - 231,770.00 USD annually * Equity compensation potential * Bonus incentive compensation possible * Hybrid work model: 2 days/week in Austin
