Systems Engineer

Experteer Overview As a Systems Engineer at Leidos, you will plan, coordinate, and execute hardware-software integration within a secure IT environment to support Navy missions at NUWC Keyport. You will work with government leadership and cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions, document progress, and communicate complex concepts to varied audiences. You’ll guide the full system lifecycle from planning to transition, ensuring cybersecurity and mission requirements are met. This role offers impact through critical defense programs and close collaboration with stakeholders. Compensation / Benefits * Plan, coordinate, and execute hardware and software integration within a secure IT environment * Collaborate with government leadership and technical teams to ensure delivery of integrated solutions * Prepare and deliver status updates, briefings, and reports for leadership and stakeholders * Translate complex technical concepts into clear documentation for technical and nontechnical audiences * Support full system lifecycle: integration planning, testing, phased deployments, implementation, and transition * Document technical designs, integration plans, configurations, and activities * Facilitate technical working groups and coordinate across multiple stakeholders * Ensure integration activities align with cybersecurity, operational, and mission requirements * Support end user training and knowledge transfer during implementation Tasks * Bachelor’s or Master’s in a technical discipline with relevant experience (8+ years or 6+ years respectively) * Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility or active TS/SCI * Current DoD 8140 compliant certification (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Security+, or Cisco CCNA) * 3+ years of experience integrating hardware and software in networked IT environments * Experience with cloud services and hosting technologies (AWS) * Broad understanding of full lifecycle of secure system integration * Experience supporting system testing, phased deployments, implementation, and end user training * Experience facilitating technical working groups and coordinating across stakeholders * Familiarity with secure system integration planning and transition activities * Strong written and verbal communication skills Key requirements *
