Job description

Experteer Overview In this role you design, test and implement secure ECU architectures to support Torc’s autonomous trucking software. You’ll partner with cross-functional engineering teams and Tier-1 suppliers to ensure security standards are met throughout development. You’ll address security requirements, perform TARAs, and validate secure communication within in-vehicle networks. This is a hands-on, growth-focused position shaping the security foundation of next-generation ECUs. Join a mission-driven team driving secure, scalable autonomous freight solutions. Compensation / Benefits * Define security requirements for hardware and embedded software on automotive ECUs (Secure Boot, HSM, key management, secure communication) * Coordinate with Tier-1 suppliers to communicate cybersecurity requirements and review deliverables * Participate in Threat Analysis & Risk Assessments (TARA) to identify attack vectors and risks * Evaluate and support security controls on in-vehicle networks (CAN/CAN-FD, Automotive Ethernet, LIN, SecOC) * Perform hands-on security verification, code analysis reviews, and assist with penetration testing or vulnerability scans * Ensure activities align with ISO/SAE 21434 and UNECE regulations (UN R155/R156) Tasks * Bachelor in Cybersecurity * 0 to 2 years in cybersecurity, embedded systems, or automotive engineering * Embedded fundamentals (RTOS, microcontrollers, C/C++) * In-vehicle networks experience (CAN/CAN-FD, LIN, Automotive Ethernet) * Core security concepts (cryptography, hashing, PKI, secure boot) * Strong verbal and written communication Key requirements *
