Job description

GCyber is seeking a Network Engineerto help support our government customer. As a Senior Network Administrator, you will support a highly classified mission environment responsible for maintaining secure, reliable network and server infrastructure supporting critical operations. Working as part of a small technical team, you will perform a broad range of network, systems, and cybersecurity administration duties to ensure mission systems remain secure, available, and operational., * Configure, administer, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, VLANs, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and related network services.

  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux server environments, including operating system updates, account management, software installation, and system maintenance.
  • Support VMware virtual infrastructure, physical server hardware, storage, and associated infrastructure.
  • Monitor network and system health, troubleshoot hardware, software, operating system, virtualization, and connectivity issues, and restore services during operational incidents.
  • Perform vulnerability remediation, security hardening, patch management, and maintain compliance with customer security requirements and STIGs.
  • Install, upgrade, and replace network and server hardware while supporting system lifecycle and configuration management activities.
  • Perform system backups, recovery operations, and secure data management.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, configuration records, and system inventories.
  • Collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, and mission stakeholders to implement changes, improve reliability, and enhance operational security.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI prior to start .
  • Security+ CE (or equivalent DoD 8570/8140 IAT II certification).
  • 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise network and systems infrastructure.
  • Experience administering Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting enterprise networking, including TCP/IP, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, and firewalls.
  • Experience supporting VMware or similar virtualization platforms.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
