Job description

GCyber is seeking a Network Engineerto help support our government customer. As a Senior Network Administrator, you will support a highly classified mission environment responsible for maintaining secure, reliable network and server infrastructure supporting critical operations. Working as part of a small technical team, you will perform a broad range of network, systems, and cybersecurity administration duties to ensure mission systems remain secure, available, and operational., * Configure, administer, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, VLANs, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and related network services.

Install, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux server environments, including operating system updates, account management, software installation, and system maintenance.
Support VMware virtual infrastructure, physical server hardware, storage, and associated infrastructure.
Monitor network and system health, troubleshoot hardware, software, operating system, virtualization, and connectivity issues, and restore services during operational incidents.
Perform vulnerability remediation, security hardening, patch management, and maintain compliance with customer security requirements and STIGs.
Install, upgrade, and replace network and server hardware while supporting system lifecycle and configuration management activities.
Perform system backups, recovery operations, and secure data management.
Create and maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, configuration records, and system inventories.
Collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, and mission stakeholders to implement changes, improve reliability, and enhance operational security.

Requirements

Active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI prior to start .
Security+ CE (or equivalent DoD 8570/8140 IAT II certification).
5+ years of experience supporting enterprise network and systems infrastructure.
Experience administering Windows and Linux operating systems.
Experience configuring and troubleshooting enterprise networking, including TCP/IP, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, and firewalls.
Experience supporting VMware or similar virtualization platforms.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
