Job description

Experteer Overview Join USAA’s newly formed Member Value Decision Science team to translate data into actionable insights that guide business decisions and member value. You will apply statistical modeling and advanced analytics to solve medium- to large-scale problems and influence strategic direction. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you’ll turn complex findings into clear recommendations and impactful storytelling for management. This role combines data integration, exploratory analysis, and communication to shape decision-making and risk management. Compensation / Benefits * Participate in cross-functional discussions to align analytics with business objectives * Apply advanced analytical techniques to solve medium to large-scale problems with strategic impact * Develop data-driven recommendations and present insights to peers and management * Translate analyses into clear communication materials for non-technical audiences * Incorporate visualization to clarify key points for diverse stakeholders * Identify relevant data sources and perform data gathering, EDA, and data quality checks * Document methodology, assumptions, and validation for reviews and compliance * Adopt emerging technologies to enhance analytical methods * Deliver findings that influence business decisions and strategy * Ensure risk and compliance considerations are identified and managed Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field or 4 years of relevant experience * 3 years in a decision support analytic function or 2 years with advanced degree * Competency in mathematical and statistical techniques for fact-based decisions * Intermediate to advanced data analysis skills and experience with SQL, SAS, BI tools * Ability to connect external insights to business problems Key requirements * comprehensive medical, dental and vision plans * 401(k) and pension * life insurance * parential benefits and adoption assistance * paid time off with holidays and 16 paid volunteer hours * wellness programs
