Experteer Overview In this role you support Cushman & Wakefield’s Quantitative Insight Group by delivering rigorous, insight-driven analysis of CRE markets in the Americas. You work closely with the Head of Data Science and Geospatial Analytics to build data-driven products and indicators, integrating proprietary CRE data with public sources. You’ll balance analytical work with data pipeline maintenance and cross-functional collaboration to inform House View and client-facing analytics. This is a hands-on, impact-focused role in a data science and urban economics context. Compensation / Benefits * Conduct quantitative analysis of commercial real estate markets, blending property, macroeconomic, and urban data to reveal trends and investment insights * Apply econometric and statistical methods (time series, regression, spatial econometrics) to CRE and labor market questions * Incorporate geospatial data into analyses using Census geographies, parcel data, land use, walkability, transit metrics, and demographics * Develop novel datasets and indicators by integrating proprietary CRE data with public/third-party sources * Support ad hoc analytical requests from Americas Research, Global Think Tank, and senior stakeholders with reproducible outputs * Build and maintain automated data pipelines for CRE and macroeconomic datasets used in models and analyses * Ensure data quality and consistency across inputs/outputs via validation and interfaces * Collaborate with PRI, TDS, and GIS teams to govern time series and geospatial data * Translate analytical requirements into engineering specs for TDS and validate outputs against expectations * Create internal documentation on data sources, models, data flows, and lineage * Serve as SME on integrating internal, third-party, and public datasets (Census TIGER, IPUMS, LODES, NLCD, Overture Maps) * Prototype emerging analytical technologies (ML/AI) with TDS coordination Tasks * Bachelor’s degree with quantitative emphasis in Economics, Data Science, Real Estate, Applied Economics, Geography, Urban Planning (Master preferred) * 2-6 years in research, analytics, or data science, ideally in real estate, urban policy, or economic research * Strong quantitative skills: regression, time series, spatial econometrics * Geospatial data knowledge and GIS tools (ArcGIS, QGIS) and GIS data formats * Proficiency in Python and/or R; working knowledge of SQL * Experience with public datasets used in urban/real estate research (Census: ACS, TIGER, LODES; BLS; IPUMS) * Ability to produce clean, reproducible analyses and communicate findings clearly * Comfort working in cross-functional settings with engineering and research teams * Genuine interest in urban economics and CRE markets * Ability to explain methods and results to non-technical audiences * Willingness to engage in data governance and collaboration with TDS Key requirements * health, vision, and dental insurance * flexible spending accounts * health savings accounts * retirement savings plans * life and disability insurance * paid time off
Requirements
