Senior Python Developer

Experteer Overview In this role you will design, develop, and support Python-based and full-stack solutions for Citi’s SP F&S business, delivering projects on time in a collaborative, agile environment. You will work closely with stakeholders across front-end and server-side components to build reliable, scalable applications and self-service reporting tools. The position offers exposure to high-traceability production systems and opportunities to contribute to maintaining Citi’s lead in financial services technology. You will tackle complex problems with analytical insight and drive continuous improvement. Compensation / Benefits * Analyze system requirements and define interfaces between components * Support business users on existing applications * Develop robust Python solutions with hands-on coding * Design and build a self-service reporting tool * Deploy in higher environments via CI/CD pipelines * Analyze problems to prevent rework and schedule slippage * Address bug fixes and performance/maintainability improvements * Contribute to front-end and server-side design discussions * Develop reusable services, UI components, unit tests, and perform code reviews * Collaborate with stakeholders in a highly collaborative environment * Promote agile software development practices * Build highly reliable, scalable, and maintainable applications Tasks * 5+ years of relevant experience * Hands-on Python coding experience * Experience with Pandas, NumPy * REST API development in Python (Flask) * Experience with template engines and Airflow/S3 * Proficiency with Python IDEs (VS Code/PyCharm) * SOA & Microservices using REST/SOAP * Knowledge of cloud-ready apps and deployment pipelines on large-scale clusters * CI/CD experience with Jenkins, TeamCity, SonarQube (or similar) * RDBMS and SQL/PLSQL * Unit testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito, pytest) * Experience with Jira and Bitbucket * Understanding of SDLC for Agile & Waterfall * Excellent written and oral communication skills * Nice to have: modern UI with Angular v4-7; JavaScript framework concepts (RxJs), TypeScript, SCSS, HTML5; Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift; BI/Reporting tools; Financial Services domain experience Key requirements * medical, dental & vision coverage * 401(k); life, accident, and disability insurance * wellness programs * paid time off (vacation) * paid holidays * on/off-site benefits information available
