Job description

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Java Developer to join our team in Los Angeles, CA. In this role, you will lead and manage technical efforts to build, optimize, and maintain high-performance, business-critical applications within complex enterprise cloud environments., Technical Leadership & Team Management: Lead and manage high-performing technical teams delivering business-critical enterprise applications.

Core Development: Write well-documented, clean, reliable, and high-performance code adhering to solid software engineering principles and object-oriented/functional programming practices.

Architecture & Design: Apply design patterns, refactoring techniques, standard architecture models (such as C4 architecture models or DFDs), and 12-Factor cloud-native application patterns.

API & Microservices: Design and develop RESTful APIs and microservices using standard Java frameworks (GraphQL experience is a plus).

Requirements

Java & Microservices: Core Java/JEE, Concurrency, Spring Boot Framework, REST APIs, and Microservices architecture. (GraphQL is a plus).

Databases: Working experience with both SQL and NoSQL database solutions.

Source Control & Security: Strong proficiency in Git source control along with integration knowledge of OAuth2, OIDC, and JWT.

Containerization & Cloud: Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, virtualized infrastructure, and 12-Factor cloud-native principles.

Observability & CI/CD: Experience integrating with APM frameworks, working with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and developing metric-driven applications.

SRE / Reliability Background: Previous experience as a Google SRE or similar Site Reliability Engineer role on large-scale applications is highly desirable.

Engineering Standards: Solid understanding of software design patterns, object-oriented/functional programming, C4 software architecture models, and Data Flow Diagrams (DFDs).
