Job description

Software Configuration Management Professional. We’re seeking an experienced Software Configuration Management (SCM) professional to join our Code Management team. The right candidate will be able to:

  • Execute strategic projects -Optimize CI/CD workflows -Drive infrastructure modernization
  • Play a critical role in maturing our automation ecosystem (GitLab, Ansible Automation Platform, and Terraform Enterprise)
  • Support the transition from previously used toolsets
  • Ensure robust, scalable, and secure pipelines

Requirements

Required Skills & Experience Experience & Technical Skills

  • 5+ years of Software Configuration Management experience across multiple tools, including GitLab
  • Experience with Terraform and Ansible
  • Understanding and working knowledge of containerization on Kubernetes/OpenShift
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as:

  • AWS -Azure -IBM Cloud
  • Working knowledge of different SDLC methodologies
  • Understanding of branching strategies, including:

  • GitFlow -GitLab Flow

GitLab Administration

  • Experience configuring and managing:

  • GitLab Runners -Groups -Projects
  • Permissions at scale
  • Experience onboarding application teams to GitLab workflows and best practices

Automation & Operations

  • Ability to automate operational tasks and incident remediation
  • Implement policies and guardrails to ensure:

  • Code quality
  • Compliance
  • Security posture
  • Troubleshoot and resolve CI/CD or migration-related incidents in a timely manner

Documentation & Collaboration

  • Strong communication skills with a proven track record of cross-team collaboration
  • Develop and maintain:

  • Runbooks
  • Wiki pages
  • Pipeline templates, * JFrog administration experience
  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience with strong scripting/programming skills
  • GitLab Certified Administrator
  • Recent experience administering GitLab Self-Managed
  • Prior software experience with:

  • Build management
  • Configuration management
  • Quality testing
  • Experience with SCM practices, including:

  • Agile
  • Continuous Integration (CI)
  • Continuous Deployment (CD)
