Requirements

  • Master’s degree and 15+ years of relevant experience. Additional experience in lieu of degree. \n
  • Expert in Linux operating system usage \n
  • Expert in using DevOps tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, and Rundeck \n
  • Expert in the software development lifecycle, with experience delivering within DevOps toolsets/practices \n
  • Direct experience utilizing software testing performance tools, such as J-unit \n
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment and tempo \n
  • Experience scripting and using AWS services including Cloudformation, EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, etc \n
  • Experience with containerization (Docker, EKS, ECS, etc.) \n
  • Experience with Nexus administration \n
  • Experience establishing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines \n
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) \n
  • Well versed with using version control systems \n
  • Well versed with using issue/problem tracking systems \n
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence and Agile development methods \n
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, including container orchestration, deployment, and scaling in a production environment \n
  • Proficiency in building, managing, and optimizing containerized applications using CI/CD pipelines, along with knowledge of container registries and security best practices \n

About the company

Leidos is looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer on a 200+ FTE technical development program responsible for delivering modern Identity Access Credential Management (ICAM) solutions. As a DevOps Engineer on this program, you will have the opportunity to build strong systems and software utilizing cloud capabilities to support a complex program. Based in DevOps framework, you will participate in and/or direct major deliverables throughout all aspects of the software development lifecycle including scope and work estimation, architecture and design, coding and unit testing. This role requires supporting an on-call rotation to ensure mission critical services remain operational 24/7/365. Rotation is typically to be on-call 1 full calendar week every 2 months.
