Job description

A Network Administrator is responsible for maintaining, configuring, and supporting an organization’s computer networks. This includes ensuring reliable connectivity, security, and performance of LAN, WAN, and cloud-based networks. Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls)
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues
  • Manage user access, permissions, and network security
  • Perform system backups and disaster recovery planning
  • Configure VPNs and remote access solutions
  • Apply patches, updates, and security protocols
  • Maintain documentation of network infrastructure

Requirements

  • Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
  • Experience with routers, switches, and firewalls
  • Knowledge of network security and monitoring tools
  • Familiarity with Windows Server and Linux systems
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of cloud networking (Azure, AWS)

Preferred Certifications

  • CompTIA Network+
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator
  • CompTIA Security+
