Job description

Join the DIRECT Delivery / Core Settlement team, where you’ll work alongside a collaborative group of engineers delivering critical enterprise solutions. You’ll contribute to the design, development, and support of scalable applications while working with modern technologies including Java, Spring, Angular, Oracle, AWS, and microservices.

Your Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and support enterprise applications using Java, Spring, and related technologies.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following engineering best practices.
  • Collaborate with architects, developers, and business partners to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Contribute innovative ideas and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance platform capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 4-5+ years of software engineering experience.

Talent Needed for Success

  • Hands-on experience in application development using Java and Oracle PL/SQL.
  • Strong experience with Core Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and RESTful APIs.
  • Experience developing applications in AWS and microservices-based environments.
  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud deployment practices.
  • Experience with Oracle SQL, PL/SQL development, and query performance tuning.
  • Working knowledge of Angular, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, JSON, REST, and SOAP.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Git, Bitbucket, Maven, and Jenkins.
  • Familiarity with messaging technologies including Kafka, MQ, RabbitMQ, or Solace.
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks such as JUnit, Selenium, Mockito, or Cucumber.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Serves as a dedicated technology resource for advancing DTCC’s business opportunities and providing industry thought leadership for leveraging new technology. The goal of this new department is to partner internally with IT, our business and regulatory divisions and externally with clients, regulators, and fintech vendors, to help build new platforms and business models to advance DTCC’s mission to support the financial markets.
