Power BI Senior Developer

Experteer Overview In this role you will lead the architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise-grade Power BI analytics. You will own standards, governance, and scalable cloud-native BI aligned with modern data platforms. You’ll drive semantic modeling, performance optimization, and deployment automation while guiding BI teams toward best-in-class analytics. This position combines hands-on leadership with collaboration across Data Engineering and Architecture to deliver executive-ready insights and impactful dashboards. Compensation / Benefits * Lead architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise Power BI solutions across reporting and analytics * Design scalable semantic models using dimensional modeling and optimize relationships and cardinality * Develop innovative visualizations to turn complex data into actionable insights * Support migration or coexistence between SAP BusinessObjects and Power BI * Translate SAP BO reports and semantic layers into optimized Power BI datasets and dashboards * Define and enforce Power BI standards, governance, naming conventions, and performance guidelines * Develop advanced DAX, measures, and calculated tables; optimize models for large datasets * Architect and implement features such as aggregations, incremental refresh, RLS, composite/hybrid models, and dataflows * Design and manage Power BI Deployment Pipelines with CI/CD and DevOps practices * Leverage Fabric components (Lakehouse Integrations, One Lake, Direct Lake, Notebook, Real Time Intelligence) and cloud-native BI * Ensure high-performance data models with appropriate storage modes (Import, DirectQuery, Hybrid) * Integrate Power BI with enterprise systems via APIs and embedded analytics * Collaborate with Data Engineering and Architecture to align warehouse structures with reporting needs * Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and architectural oversight to BI teams * Stay current with Power BI and MS Fabric roadmap features and adopt new capabilities where suitable Tasks * 8+ years in BI/analytics with 5+ years hands-on Power BI development and architecture * Strong semantic modeling, dataset design, and DAX development * Experience with aggregations and incremental refresh; deployment pipelines and DevOps * Power BI Service administration and governance * Cloud-native architecture understanding; enterprise Data Warehouse experience with dimensional modeling and ETL/ELT * Experience integrating Power BI via REST APIs and embedded analytics * Strong SQL and query performance optimization * Proven ability to deliver visually impactful analytics solutions * Excellent analytical, leadership, and stakeholder communication skills Key requirements *
