Job description

Experteer Overview As a test automation expert, you will own the validation strategy for our next-generation embedded access control platform. You will bridge electronics design, firmware, and automation to ensure secure, performant, and resilient hardware-to-cloud experiences. You’ll design scalable HIL frameworks and mentor engineers while shaping a culture of reliable, test-driven development. Compensation / Benefits * Design and lead end-to-end test strategies covering hardware-to-cloud validation for readers and controllers * Develop hardware-in-the-loop automation frameworks across driver, middleware, and application layers * Debug complex issues with electronics using scopes, analyzers, and protocol sniffers * Validate and stress-test RS-485, Ethernet/IP, BLE, NFC, and UWB communications * Test network stacks, TLS/X.509 handling, and data integrity across deployment environments * Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with Hardware and Software teams to embed testability in product design (DFT/DFM) Tasks * 7+ years in firmware development, embedded systems engineering, or firmware validation; at least 3 years in lead/principal capacity * Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science * Expert-level Python for scalable test automation * Strong C/C++ skills; RTOS, interrupt handling, and memory management * Experience reading schematics and understanding embedded electrical constraints * Proficiency with hardware lab equipment and signal analysis tools * Knowledge of wired/wireless interfaces (RS-485, UART, I2C, SPI, TCP/IP) and HIL testing Key requirements * Incentive Bonus Plans * Medical, Dental, Vision benefits * 401K with Company Match * 10 Paid Holidays * Generous Paid Time Off Packages * Employee Stock Purchase Plan
