Job description
Experteer Overview In this role, you contribute to the Starburst program within Collins Aerospace’s Starburst Engineering Department. You will implement and sustain cyber security requirements for deployed products in an air-gapped DoD network, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams. Expect to shape risk posture and information assurance across the enterprise IT service portfolio. You will work onsite with occasional travel and have the chance to influence critical defense IT capabilities. This is a high-impact, mission-driven security engineering position. Compensation / Benefits * Implement and sustain cyber security requirements for deployed products and services * Deploy new capabilities within a DoD air-gapped IT network * Create and present technical materials for diverse audiences * Document system schematics and operational guides * Interface with project engineers and domain leads to manage cyber risk posture and mitigation * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to uphold information assurance * Maintain system documentation and procedures * Travel up to 10% as needed Tasks * Active TS/SCI security clearance with SCI eligibility * Degree in STEM or advanced degree with 5+ years of relevant experience (or 8+ years for bachelor) * Solid background in RHEL 8/9 administration * Broad understanding of on-prem enterprise IT systems and security (ICAM, LDAP/AD, PKI, secure messaging, enterprise logging, EDR) * Active DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., CISSP or Security+) * Experience with Windows servers, VMware (vSphere/vCenter/ESXi), and firewalls * Ability to work onsite in a closed environment and occasional travel Key requirements * medical, dental, and vision insurance * 3 weeks vacation * 401(k) plan with employer matching and retirement contribution * tuition reimbursement * Student Loan Repayment Program * life and disability insurance
