Experteer Overview As Principal Cloud Data Architect, you will define the target state for Channels Data Platforms and Analytics, leading modernization from legacy systems to cloud-native solutions. You will guide large engineering transformations, ensuring security, performance, and regulatory alignment across data and analytics. You’ll oversee the Payment Tracker architecture and drive cross-discipline collaboration to deliver scalable, resilient platforms. This role offers a chance to shape data-driven capabilities at scale within a trusted financial services organization. Compensation / Benefits * Define and communicate solution intent and architectural vision across domains * Develop and maintain a multi-year modernization roadmap for Channels Data Platforms * Establish operating models, patterns, and guardrails to support evolving capabilities and regulatory expectations * Lead enterprise alignment with Architecture, Information Governance, Risk, and Product * Drive transformation from on-prem and legacy stacks to cloud-native architectures (Azure, Databricks, Snowflake) * Define migration paths for mainframe jobs and legacy reporting * Implement CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, observability, and cost/performance governance * Ensure platform resiliency, scalability, and operational readiness (HA/DR, autoscaling) * Provide end-to-end architectural oversight for Payment Tracker (UI, APIs, data models, analytics) * Guide design for real-time insights, data marts, and analytics in Payment Tracker * Ensure adherence to NFRs and integrated monitoring * Lead design and code reviews; ensure compliance with Risk Framework and data privacy * Collaborate with delivery teams to translate strategy into backlogs and architecture epics * Create reusable accelerators, templates, and modernization playbooks * Mentor engineers and elevate engineering excellence across Channels Technology * Own R&D for data and analytics portfolio including POCs and technology standards Tasks * 12+ years in data/software engineering * 8+ years designing enterprise data platforms or large distributed architectures * Cloud modernization experience (Azure preferred) including Databricks, Snowflake, Kafka/Event Hubs * Experience modernizing Informatica ETL, Hadoop Big Data, and mainframe workloads * Deep expertise in NFR-driven design (resiliency, security, performance, observability) * Strong SQL and Python skills (Scala/Java a plus) * Ability to influence senior leaders and work in regulated environments * Strong communication skills for executive, business, and technical audiences * Experience with microservices, containers (Kubernetes/OpenShift), API gateways * Representative tools/technologies include Azure ADLS Gen2, Event Hubs, Key Vault, Databricks, Snowflake, Informatica, Kafka, Mainframe/Z Series, Oracle/Postgres, Python, SQL, Java/Scala, Git, Azure DevOps/Jenkins, Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift, Collibra, AppDynamics/Splunk/Grafana Key requirements *
