5G Test Automation Engineer

Experteer Overview In this role you will advance the Product Test Robot Automation framework and validate FWA products, delivering high-quality 5G connectivity solutions to customers worldwide. You’ll be part of the FWA R&D Product Test team in Athens, collaborating with global stakeholders to evolve last-mile 5G networks. You drive automation of functional, security, performance, and resilience tests, shaping reliable test strategies and environments. This opportunity combines hands-on test engineering with automation leadership in a dynamic telecom setting. Compensation / Benefits * Set up, maintain and evolve the Product Test Robot Automation framework and test cases as part of the team * Develop automation for end-to-end functional, security, performance, stability, capacity, stress, and provocative tests * Create reusable Robot framework keywords for flexible test design * Manage smoke and regression test suites, ensuring stability and reliability * Serve as a main automation contact for specific products or domains * Lead automation of manual tests within the team * Set up and maintain Automation E2E test environments * Develop new automation testing methods/tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness * Provide training and support to less experienced team members and stakeholders Tasks * BSc or MSc in Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent * Strong background in telecommunications (wireless or fixed networks) and test processes * Experience with 3GPP, 4G/5G networks, TCP/IP, IPv6, WiFi, Ethernet, VLAN, TR069, TR369, QoS, call flows and related protocols * Previous test automation experience using Robot, Python, Selenium, bash scripting, TCL * CI/CD experience with Jenkins and GIT * Good understanding of Linux operating systems * Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills * Self-motivated with team spirit and ability to work independently * Excellent verbal and written English skills * Continuous improvement mindset Key requirements * On site, hybrid or remote work * Life and medical insurance * Maternity/Paternity leave * Group pension plan * Meal allowance (e-card) * Company device with subscription
