Job description

Experteer Overview As an SSD firmware engineer, you will help develop structured embedded firmware for Micron’s SSD products, driving quality and reliability. You collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate customer requirements and perform failure analysis on FW issues, shaping firmware through design verification and testing. You’ll work in an Agile environment, building new test tools and contributing to continuous integration. This role offers the chance to influence firmware quality across platforms and contribute to a leading technology mission. Compensation / Benefits * Develop SSD firmware for embedded environments * Validate customer requirements and perform FW failure analysis * Design verification using simulation and product testing * Maintain firmware quality in system and target applications * Participate in SCRUM/Agile processes and code reviews * Develop new test tools and methods * Follow defined processes, procedures and workflows * Analyze functional/performance issues in test/hardware environments Tasks * In-depth knowledge and extensive experience with embedded firmware development * Proficiency with scripting languages and programming tools * Experience in leading or supervising junior engineers * Bachelor degree with 5 years of post-baccalaureate experience in a related field * SSD firmware testing or development experience * SSD or NAND Flash development experience * Python or C/C++ code development * FTL algorithms * Storage protocols: PCIe, NVMe, ONFI, USB * Agile development, Git and branch management * Test automation and CI systems Key requirements * medical, dental and vision plans * paid time-off * paid holidays * income protection programs * paid family leave
