Job description

  • Contributes to the design, development, analysis, and testing of radar software. Writes clean, maintainable, and efficient code in languages such as C++ and Python under the guidance of senior engineers. Assists in the integration of software components with hardware. Participates in debugging and troubleshooting software issues. Supports the development and maintenance of software documentation and participates in code reviews. Collaborate with systems and hardware engineers to ensure software meets system requirements., + Designs, develops, tests, and maintains real-time embedded software for radar applications using languages such as C++ and Python. Implements and optimizes complex radar algorithms and signal processing techniques developed in MATLAB and/or Python into software. Performs software integration with target hardware and supports system-level testing and verification. Troubleshoots and resolves software and system issues. Creates and maintains software documentation and participates actively in design and code reviews. Collaborate with systems, hardware, and test engineers to ensure software solutions meet performance and quality standards

Requirements

Junior Radar Software Engineer :

  • 2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field; 0 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience.

  • Academic background or project experience in software development, preferably with C++ or Python.

  • Understanding of object-oriented design and software development principles.

  • An interest in or familiarity with radar systems or signal processing concepts.

  • Familiarity with Linux or a Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) is a plus.

  • An understanding of multi-threading, concurrency, and meeting timing constraints.

  • A strong foundation in linear algebra and basic physics.

  • Clearance:Secret Security Clearance to start

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance with enhanced security checks

Mid-Level Radar Software Engineer:

  • 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.

  • Proven experience developing software in C++ and/or Python.

  • Strong experience in object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms.

  • Knowledge of radar systems, digital signal processing (DSP), or related domains.

  • Proficiency with development in a Linux or Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) environment.

  • Experience with software configuration management and version control tools in a CI/CD Pipeline environment using tools such as GitLab.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in developing and maintaining a robust unit testing framework, including creating tests, improving code coverage, analyzing results, and developing action plans.

  • Hands-on experience with software/hardware integration, testing, and debugging.

  • Responsible for implementing and reporting on software development activities.

  • Clearance:Secret Security Clearance to start

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance with enhanced security checks

Senior Radar Software Engineer:

  • 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.

  • Proven experience developing software in C++ and/or Python.

  • Strong experience in object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms.

  • Knowledge of radar systems, digital signal processing (DSP), or related domains.

  • Proficiency with development in a Linux or Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) environment.

  • Experience with software configuration management and version control tools in a CI/CD Pipeline environment using tools such as GitLab.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in developing and maintaining a robust unit testing framework, including creating tests, improving code coverage, analyzing results, and developing action plans.

  • Basic knowledge of building, deploying, using, and maintaining reusable and reliable containerized images (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).

  • Familiarity with a unit testing framework.

  • Willingness to participate in hands-on software integration and testing.

  • Strong desire to learn and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

  • Supports software development planning and reporting activities.

Mid-Level Radar Software Engineer:

  • Experience with software design patterns and an understanding of software architecture.

  • Experience with performance profiling and optimization.

  • Able to translate system-level requirements into software design specifications.

  • Building, deploying, using, and maintaining reusable and reliable containerized images (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).

  • Developing software using a CI/CD Pipeline in a Cloud environment.
