Job description

Docusign is seeking a Software Engineer to work on the next generation of our Search and Data Platform. As part of the Intelligent Agreement Management (IAM) initiative, our team is transitioning customer-facing reporting and search capabilities to a modern, highly scalable cloud data platform. You will move beyond standard feature development to build the distributed infrastructure that allows millions of users to instantly discover, filter, and analyze their agreements. We are looking for a builder who has experience with modern search frameworks, distributed systems, and solving ā€œnever-been-done-beforeā€ problems at scale. You will work closely with product leaders from proof-of-concept to V1 release, ensuring our solutions are fault-tolerant, secure, and blazingly fast.

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Sr. Manager, Machine Learning.

Responsibility

  • Build fault-tolerant, high-throughput search systems using microservices architecture
  • Lead the implementation and optimization of search clusters to ensure sub-second query performance across petabytes of data
  • Develop and deploy scalable services in Azure, leveraging containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and infrastructure-as-code
  • Collaborate with Product Management to translate business requirements into technical designs, drive implementation, write ample test coverage, and oversee the release process
  • Conduct code reviews, and work with cross-site teams to drive engineering best practices
  • Identify and resolve production issues, ensuring 99.99% availability for critical search services
