Business Intelligence Analyst

Experteer Overview In this role you enable data-driven decision making for NC State by designing and maintaining enterprise analytics products and dashboards. You will work closely with UDA staff and campus partners to translate needs into robust data tools and reports. You’ll ensure data quality and clear communication of insights to leadership and stakeholders. This is a mission-driven, collaborative position at the university’s data and analytics office with a focus on impactful reporting and self-service analytics. Compensation / Benefits * Identify information needs and propose analytics projects to meet them * Collaborate with UDA staff and campus partners to document requirements for new reports and dashboards * Design, build, document, and maintain datasets, reports, dashboards, and visualizations * Automate data and analytical product workflows and processes * Create user-friendly documentation and provide training materials and end-user support * Assist with data validation and quality reviews; perform UI/UX quality assurance for enterprise products * Stay current with BI and data visualization trends to implement best practices * Other duties as assigned Tasks * Experience with analytics programming languages (SQL) * Experience creating data visualizations using Microsoft Power BI, Power Query, and DAX * Experience querying, transforming, and analyzing data to produce usable information * Ability to understand and work with complex, cross-functional data * Ability to develop and update analytics documentation * Ability to ensure data quality and integrity * Ability to follow UI/UX protocols and guide others on them * Strong communication skills for upper administration and university community * Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment * Ability to handle secure/confidential data * Self-motivated with attention to detail and accuracy * Ability to collaborate in a team environment Key requirements * Medical, Dental, and Vision * Flexible Spending Account * Retirement Programs * Disability Plans * Paid Time Off and Holidays * Tuition and Academic Assistance
