Job description

Experteer Overview As an Azure Data Engineer at Booz Allen, you build scalable data pipelines and Lakehouse architectures to convert diverse data into actionable insights for mission-driven projects. You will collaborate with a cross-functional team to design, develop, and maintain data platforms that support analytics, ML, and decision-making for clients in fields like fraud detection and healthcare. The role offers the opportunity to mentor peers, shape engineering standards, and work on high-impact data initiatives. You will operate in a fast-paced, agile environment using Azure-based data services to deliver reliable data solutions at scale. Compensation / Benefits * Build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for reporting and analytics * Develop and deploy data pipelines and platforms in Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Databricks * Create resilient ingestion pipelines from REST APIs, databases, event streams, and SaaS like Salesforce and Genesys * Design and implement scalable Lakehouse architectures following medallion patterns * Mentor junior engineers and contribute to data engineering standards and best practices * Implement monitoring and alerting for data pipelines using Azure Monitor or Dynatrace Tasks * 3+ years of experience with Azure-based data engineering (Synapse, Data Factory, Databricks) * Experience with ingestion from REST APIs, databases, event streams, and SaaS platforms * Experience with data modeling and medallion architecture in Synapse/Azure Databricks * Mentoring experience and ability to contribute to engineering standards * Knowledge of monitoring/alerting tools (Azure Monitor, Dynatrace) * Bachelor’s degree * Ability to obtain Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination Key requirements * health benefits * life benefits * disability benefits * retirement benefits * paid leave * tuition assistance
