EMEA Senior VMware Engineer

Experteer Overview In this role, you will design and implement large-scale VMware infrastructures across six EMEA data centers, driving standardization and automation. You will work within the newly formed EMEA Data Centre Platform Team to deliver a world-class solution for MetLife in the region. You will tackle complex virtualization projects, ensure security and compliance, and collaborate with global partners to enable a unified operating model. The opportunity combines hands-on engineering with strategic oversight in a transformational environment. Compensation / Benefits * Create High-Level and Low-Level Design documents for enterprise virtualized environments (VCF) * Install, configure, upgrade, and support VMware ESXi, vCenter, SRM, vRealize Operations, and Aria Suite; include SAN integration * Evaluate and integrate new technologies to meet performance and security standards * Lead infrastructure-related projects from conception to completion * Implement security policies, assess risks, and ensure regulatory compliance * Monitor performance, manage capacity, and identify optimization opportunities * Collaborate with project managers and business stakeholders to align infrastructure with goals * Document infrastructure processes and standards; lead disaster recovery and business continuity planning Tasks * 5+ years of VMware infrastructure design, deployment, and administration * Excellent knowledge of virtualization technologies (HCI, Red Hat, Nutanix) * VCP or VCAP * Expert-level knowledge of vSphere, vSAN, NSX, and vRealize/Aria Suite * Understanding of SAN connectivity (Fiber Channel, iSCSI) * Advanced networking concepts (VLANs, subnets, distributed virtual switches) * Ability to analyze complex systems and communicate with stakeholders * Experience working with global teams; proactive and team-oriented Key requirements * hybrid work model * flexible hours * annual performance bonus * vacation bonus * private medical subscription * MultiSport card
