Job description

MetroSys is seeking a Network Operations Engineer to support and maintain enterprise network infrastructure across data centers, branch locations, and cloud-connected environments. This role is responsible for ensuring the availability, security, and performance of the organization’s networking infrastructure while supporting infrastructure projects, troubleshooting complex issues, and implementing best practices. The ideal candidate has strong experience with Cisco networking, Palo Alto firewalls, VMware NSX, SD-WAN, and enterprise networking in regulated environments., * Design, implement, and support enterprise LAN, WAN, wireless, VPN, and SD-WAN environments.

  • Administer Cisco routing and switching infrastructure, Palo Alto Networks firewalls, VMware NSX, and network security technologies.
  • Configure and maintain firewall policies, VPN connectivity, routing protocols, and network segmentation.
  • Monitor network health, performance, and security while troubleshooting complex connectivity and infrastructure issues.
  • Support multi-site enterprise networks, data centers, and third-party/vendor connectivity.
  • Participate in infrastructure upgrades, disaster recovery planning, and change management activities.
  • Develop and maintain network documentation, standards, and operational procedures.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, security, cloud, and application teams to deliver reliable network services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of enterprise network engineering experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with:

  • Cisco routing and switching
  • Palo Alto Networks firewalls
  • VMware NSX
  • SD-WAN technologies
  • Experience with BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPNs, NAT, and high-availability networking.
  • Experience supporting regulated environments (PCI DSS, SOX, NCUA, FDIC, or similar).
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills., * Experience with Panorama and VCF Operations for Networks (formerly VMware Aria Operations for Networks/vRealize Network Insight).
  • Experience with Azure or AWS networking.
  • Knowledge of automation tools such as PowerShell, Python, or Ansible.
  • Cisco CCNP/CCIE, Palo Alto, or VMware certifications are preferred.
