Job description

Experteer Overview As a Lead Software Engineer in the Global Equity Derivatives Risk Management team, you drive the delivery of a secure, scalable platform for real-time pricing, risk management, and streaming position aggregation. You work with business, quant, and tech teams to translate requirements into robust solutions and mentor a globally distributed team. You own feature deliveries across the SDLC and collaborate with other tech teams to ensure system-wide consistency. This role offers an impact role in shaping trusted technology for complex financial products and production-grade platforms. Compensation / Benefits * Collaborate with business, quant, and tech stakeholders to define technology requirements * Own end-to-end feature delivery across the full SDLC * Develop enhancements or new solutions aligned with business objectives * Coordinate with other tech teams to propagate changes across systems * Ensure solutions meet business needs while remaining robust and supportable * Document release procedures and support notes for production teams * Provide 3rd level production support with issue analysis and improvement recommendations * Mentor junior developers and conduct code/design reviews Tasks * Formal software engineering training or certification with 5+ years of experience * Expertise in Java Core concepts (OO design, memory management, multi-threading, new features up to Java 17) * Hands-on experience with Spring/Spring Boot, Spring JPA/Hibernate, REST services * Strong JVM performance analysis and tuning (profiling, heap/thread dumps, GC tuning) * Designing scalable microservices with high resiliency * Unix/Linux proficiency and ability to analyze system performance (Dynatrace) * Relational and NoSQL databases (Sybase, Oracle, MongoDB) * Messaging middleware (Kafka/RabbitMQ) and exposure to AWS cloud concepts * Experience with Git/Bitbucket, Jira, Jenkins, Gradle, Maven * Test-Driven Development with JUnit and mocks * Ability to support production environments and own production issues Key requirements *
