Job description

Experteer Overview In this role you will lead and evolve our cybersecurity platforms to reduce risk and enable business goals. You’ll own core tools like Microsoft Defender and Purview, while expanding IAM and cloud security capabilities across Azure and Microsoft 365. You’ll partner with IT, security, and operations teams to mature controls and automate security workflows at scale. This is a hands-on engineering role that shapes our security posture and compliance across the enterprise. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment that values urgency, collaboration, and practical impact. Compensation / Benefits * Lead engineering and continuous improvement of Defender capabilities and related security integrations * Design and mature Purview for data protection, governance, and compliance enforcement * Engineer cloud security controls across Azure and Microsoft 365 with secure baselines and posture management * Lead IAM engineering activities including Entra ID, Active Directory, and access reviews * Develop automation and integrations to improve reliability and standardize controls * Collaborate with security operations, MDR, SIEM, and OT teams to integrate platforms into workflows * Create and maintain security platform standards, runbooks, and audit-ready evidence * Define and report platform health, control effectiveness, and remediation progress * Evaluate emerging security capabilities and industry best practices to strengthen posture Tasks * Bachelor degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience * 4+ years of hands-on cybersecurity platform engineering experience across Microsoft security, cloud security, IAM, data protection, or security operations * Strong foundation in endpoint, cloud, IAM, and compliance controls with automation * Proficiency in Microsoft security tech and scripting (PowerShell), API integrations, and automation * Extensive experience with Defender, Purview, Entra ID, Intune, AD, Sentinel, and 365 security features * Experience securing IT and OT networks, incident response, vulnerability management * Identity and access controls management, including privileged access * Experience with standards such as ISO 27001, NIST CSF, GDPR * Vendor management and cross-functional coordination on incidents and compliance * Strong communication, governance, and problem-solving skills * Willingness to travel up to 10% Key requirements * medical, dental, and vision benefits * life and disability insurance * 401k participation * paid holidays * paid time off
