Job description
Experteer Overview As a Senior Software Engineer at Mastercard, you will own and shape the design of scalable, secure cloud-native software for the ADUEX team serving SMEs. You’ll influence architecture, lead implementation and quality, and drive production reliability across full software lifecycles. You’ll work with cross-functional partners to deliver high-performance, secure solutions at scale. This role offers impact through building modern, event-driven and microservices-based systems in a global payments context. Compensation / Benefits * Design scalable, secure software and translate requirements into system designs * Influence architecture decisions and define patterns for APIs, event-driven systems, and cloud-native platforms * Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain software components and services * Lead code reviews and coach peers * Analyze and optimize performance, scalability, and reliability * Define testing strategies and promote test automation * Ensure observability, monitoring, and incident response * Apply secure coding practices and comply with security standards * Collaborate with Product, Architecture, Site Reliability, and Security teams * Own production health and drive reliability improvements Tasks * Proficiency with Python/TypeScript agentic frameworks * Strong experience with modern web stacks (Angular, React, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js) and Java backend * Spring Boot familiarity * Cloud experience (AWS/Azure) and distributed data stores * Security-focused coding and use of analysis tools (Sonar, Checkmarx) * Git-based workflows and peer code reviews * Unit, service, and integration testing expertise * Experience with CI/CD and containerized deployments * Knowledge of SDLC methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and observability practices * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience Key requirements * health insurance * dental and vision coverage * 401k with company match * paid parental leave * vacation and personal days * paid holidays and sick time
