Lead Engineer, Network Security Platform

Experteer Overview In this Lead Engineer role, you shape and execute the network security platform strategy within KPMG’s Digital Nexus team. You evaluate current security architecture, drive improvements to align with industry best practices, and ensure seamless integration with cloud and on-prem infrastructure. You provide guidance and leadership to the network team, deliver roadmaps on time, and offer last-tier support to secure stable operations. You’ll work on high-impact security platforms using leading tools, contributing to a secure, scalable technology environment for clients and the firm. Compensation / Benefits * Develop technology architecture roadmaps and maintain them * Evaluate network security architecture and implement improvements * Ensure integration of technologies (Zscaler, GCP, Palo Alto) with infrastructure * Provide guidance to carry out plans, ensure process adherence, and meet performance/budget targets * Act as last-tier support for operations and support teams, including root cause analysis * Configure and enforce system standards to establish network environments * Deliver training and guidance to Network team * Uphold integrity and professional standards in the work environment Tasks * 5+ years of experience with Web proxy products (ZScaler, Palo Alto Prisma) and cloud environments (Azure, GCP) * Expertise with Palo Alto firewalls (physical Strata, virtual VM-Series), Panorama, Prisma Access/ZIA/ZPA * Hands-on GCP engineering (VPC, Cloud Armor) and securing cloud-native environments * Proven experience in Zscaler platform engineering (ZIA, ZPA) * Strong background in network automation and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) * Excellent communication and leadership abilities; ability to manage multiple projects * Authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the future Key requirements * comprehensive benefits package * medical and dental plans * vision coverage * 401(k) plans * personal well-being benefits * paid time off
