Job description
Experteer Overview As a Senior Staff Network Automation Engineer, you will architect and deliver scalable, source-of-truth driven network automation across data centers, cloud, campus, and enterprise environments. You’ll lead the design of data models, deployment artifacts, and IaC-based config generation, enabling multi-vendor provisioning and AI-ready on-prem infrastructure. You will mentor engineers and set standards for reliability, security, and observability. This role sits at the intersection of networking, software, and AI-driven transformation, offering impact at scale. Compensation / Benefits * Lead architecture, design, and implementation of network automation platforms across datacenter, cloud, campus, and enterprise environments * Build source-of-truth driven automation workflows using in-house platforms and authoritative network data models * Design and maintain scalable data models for sites, fabrics, roles, interfaces, addressing, and deployment intent * Generate intent-based deployment artifacts from network models * Build configuration generation pipelines using templating and IaC patterns to render device/service configs from model data * Develop multi-vendor provisioning, onboarding, and ZTP workflows for network platforms and services * Create automated validation/health-check tooling and integrate with CI/CD and ops systems * Collaborate cross-functionally and provide technical leadership by setting standards and mentoring engineers Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience * 12+ years in network/infrastructure engineering * 7+ years building production-grade network automation * Strong Python and Golang (required) * Experience with DCIM/IPAM / Source-of-Truth platforms (Nautobot/NetBox) * Experience with config generation pipelines (templating) * Strong Terraform/Ansible experience * Knowledge of datacenter networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, switching/routing, BGP, EVPN/VXLAN) * Experience across multi-vendor platforms (NVIDIA/Mellanox, Arista, Cisco, Juniper) and REST/CLI automation * Strong DevOps mindset: CI/CD (Jenkins/GitLab), Linux, and cross-functional communication Key requirements * equity * base salary * hybrid work * benefits * career growth opportunities
