Software Programmer (Remote)

Experteer Overview In this role you will drive Appian-based frontend implementations within a cross-functional, remote-ready team serving government clients. You translate business needs into Appian designs, oversee configuration and performance, and guide multi-stakeholder collaboration to deliver timely features. You will work across departments to align architecture with client goals, maintain technical documentation, and ensure compliant, scalable solutions. This position offers a chance to impact large, government-scale programs from a fully remote setup. Compensation / Benefits * Guide Appian product configuration and map requirements to Appian objects and process flows * Lead design reviews, performance testing, and scalability efforts * Collaborate with customers to translate business requirements into technical designs * Produce rulesets, configurations, workflows, and technical solutions * Work with stakeholders to understand the client enterprise and lead large, multi-year programs * Create and maintain business process and technical documentation (workflows, diagrams, best practices) * Participate in client meetings and internal team sessions * Apply Appian 18.x design and implementation practices and translate SRS into Appian applications * Apply SDLC best practices across development, testing, and delivery * Demonstrate knowledge of government/configuration management procedures and automated tooling * Translate business needs into Appian BPM solution configurations * Present demos to customers * Assess and communicate architectural requirements and configurations of Appian BPM * Demonstrate strong analytical and communication skills Tasks * Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of experience (or commensurate) * 3+ years defining and documenting technology architectures * 3+ years in Enterprise Application Integration (SOA, ESB) and n-tier architectures (preferred) * 3+ years full SDLC experience on large-scale, business-critical apps with Agile * 3+ years Business Architecture, including decomposing capabilities * 3+ years Business Process Modeling & optimization * 3+ years hands-on Appian experience * 3+ years developing Appian Plugins * 3+ years working with application servers (e.g., JBoss, WebLogic, IIS, Tomcat) * 3+ years configuring, debugging, and integrating systems as a developer * Ability to translate business needs into Appian BPM solution requirements * Excellent analytical, oral, and written communication skills * Ability to obtain and maintain Suitability/Public Trust clearance Key requirements * remote work
