Application Architect

• Lead the design, development, and modernization of enterprise applications supporting critical business functions.
• This role is responsible for defining application architecture, database strategy, API integrations, and AI-enabled solutions using the Microsoft technology stack.
• Strong background designing scalable, secure applications within financial services or legal environments, where security, compliance, and performance are paramount.
• This individual will partner with business leaders, development teams, infrastructure, and security to architect innovative solutions that leverage modern technologies including React, .NET, APIs, cloud services, and Artificial Intelligence., * Design and architect enterprise-scale applications using modern Microsoft technologies.
• Lead the development of scalable web applications utilizing React for front-end development and .NET/.NET Core for backend services.
• Design and build secure RESTful APIs and microservices to support enterprise integrations.
• Architect and optimize enterprise database solutions, including logical and physical data models.
• Lead application modernization efforts, transitioning legacy applications to cloud-ready architectures.
• Design AI-enabled solutions by integrating machine learning, Generative AI, and intelligent automation into enterprise applications.
• Establish application architecture standards, development best practices, and governance.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate functional requirements into technical solutions.
• Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
• Mentor developers and provide technical leadership throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, and technology evaluations.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• 8+ years of software development experience.
• 3-5+ years serving as an Application Architect, Solutions Architect, or Lead Developer.
• Experience designing enterprise applications within financial services, banking, investment management, insurance, or legal organizations.
• Expert knowledge of: C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core / .NET 8+, ASP.NET Core, React, JavaScript, TypeScript
• Extensive experience designing REST APIs and microservices.
• Strong experience designing enterprise database solutions using Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience with Azure cloud services.
• Strong understanding of application security, authentication, authorization, and secure coding practices.
• Experience working within Agile development environments.
• Microsoft Technology Stack:
• C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework, LINQ, Azure DevOps, Visual Studio
• Front-End Development:
• React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, Redux, Responsive Web Design
• API & Integration:
• REST APIs, Web APIs, GraphQL (preferred), OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT, Swagger / OpenAPI, API Gateway
• Database Technologies:
• Microsoft SQL Server, Database Design, Data Modeling, Stored Procedures, SQL Performance Tuning, Database Optimization, ETL concepts
• Cloud Technologies:
• Microsoft Azure, Azure App Services, Azure SQL, Azure Functions, Azure API Management, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
• Artificial Intelligence:
• Experience integrating AI capabilities into enterprise applications.
• Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI, and AI-assisted development tools.
• Experience integrating AI APIs (Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, or similar).
• Understanding of AI governance, security, and responsible AI implementation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in enterprise financial services, banking, investment management, insurance, or legal organizations.
• Experience designing applications supporting highly regulated environments.
• Experience building enterprise databases from the ground up, including data architecture and optimization.
• Experience designing high-volume, mission-critical transactional systems.
• Experience modernizing legacy .NET applications.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate
• Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate
• TOGAF Certification
• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or SAFe Agilist

Pay Rate: $85.00-$90.00/Hour.
