Senior Infrastructure Engineer - P3

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer with deep expertise in Microsoft Hyper-V virtualization to join its Compute Engineering team. The engineer will be responsible for designing, engineering, automating, and supporting enterprise-scale Hyper-V infrastructure across global data centers. This is an infrastructure engineering role focused on virtualization, Windows Server, clustering, storage, networking, automation, and performance optimization., * Design, implement, and maintain enterprise Hyper-V infrastructure.

• Manage Windows Server Failover Clusters (WSFC), Live Migration, and Storage Spaces Direct (S2D).
• Engineer highly available and scalable Hyper-V cluster architectures.
• Configure and optimize storage, networking, and virtualization platforms.
• Develop PowerShell scripts for infrastructure automation, provisioning, patching, and operational tasks.
• Troubleshoot production issues across Hyper-V, clustering, storage, and networking.
• Perform infrastructure performance analysis, capacity planning, and optimization.
• Evaluate hardware configurations for Hyper-V workload suitability.
• Maintain architecture documentation, standards, and best practices.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, operations, security, and hardware engineering teams.

• 5+ years of Infrastructure Engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Hyper-V in enterprise environments.
• Windows Server Administration (2019/2022).
• Windows Server Failover Clustering (WSFC).
• Hyper-V Live Migration.
• Storage Spaces Direct (S2D).
• Hyper-V Virtual Switch & Switch Embedded Teaming (SET).
• Strong understanding of enterprise storage and networking.
• PowerShell scripting and infrastructure automation.
• Experience with WMI and Windows administration.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as PowerShell DSC, SCCM, Ansible, or similar.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across virtualization, compute, storage, and networking.
• Experience with performance tuning, monitoring, and capacity planning.

Preferred Skills

• VMware ESXi or other hypervisor experience.
• Microsoft System Center (SCVMM, SCOM, SCCM).
• Qualys vulnerability remediation.
• CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure automation.
• Performance benchmarking tools such as VMFleet, DiskSpd, or similar.
• Basic knowledge of C#/.NET (nice to have, not mandatory).
• Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering tools.

Strong enterprise Hyper-V experience.

• Hands-on infrastructure engineering rather than general Windows administration.
• Excellent PowerShell automation skills.
• Experience designing and operating Hyper-V clusters at scale.
• Strong understanding of Windows infrastructure, storage, networking, and performance engineering.
• Candidates with VMware experience are welcome only if they have solid Hyper-V expertise.
• The focus is on candidates with strong Hyper-V infrastructure experience.
