Cyber Range Engineer - Cloud/DevOps

Experteer Overview In this role you will design, build and operate cyber range environments to test and train defensive and offensive cyber operators for US Air Force customers. You will work within an agile team to configure networks, virtual appliances, and various operating systems, enabling realistic training and mission qualification. You will drive IaC-based automation and support complex system integrations, delivering scalable, secure ranges. This is a hands-on, mission-driven position that shapes cyber readiness at scale. Compensation / Benefits * Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform and related tooling to build and manage environments * Provide technical guidance for operations of information systems * Design and implement Windows Enterprise systems, Linux variants, and network architectures * Troubleshoot virtual network performance and analyze traffic for capacity planning * Build and configure training ranges for individual and team exercises * Monitor, diagnose, and resolve hardware/software issues in the cyber range facility * Perform system-level design and configuration across hardware, OS, and platforms * Contribute to QA and evaluation of software products and new technologies * Support information systems operations, including LAN/MAN/WAN administration and security policy review * Input to standards, budgeting discussions, and policy development relating to IT systems * Utilize tools to diagnose complex problems and improve network performance * Assist with network and security operations and enhancements * Provide oversight for IT operations activities and cross-team coordination * Build and maintain virtualization environments (VMware, etc.) and support various VM image formats * Engage in data analysis, network modeling, and coordination between network and data communications hardware/software Tasks * TS/SCI Clearance * IAT Level II certification * BA/BS Degree (preferred in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Engineering Management) * Infrastructure as Code experience (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Git, Packer) Key requirements * Medical, Dental, Vision * Unlimited Vacation * Sick Leave * Paid Federal Holidays * Education and Certification Reimbursement Program * 401(k) with safe harbor match after 3 months
