Role Overview
Technical Architect Security consultant responsible for designing and governing information system security architectures, advising clients throughout the lifecycle of engagement, and leading the creation of multi-technology solutions across business and service units.
Responsibilities
- Lead or support consultative engagements in security architecture and governance, ensuring delivery of assessment services.
- Deliver evaluations of clients’ current security architectures, identify weaknesses, and recommend improvement scenarios.
- Coordinate implementation efforts to ensure end-to-end coherence of technical solutions with delivery teams.
- Hand over engagement information and opportunities to internal stakeholders.
- Develop standardized consultative engagement templates and raise internal awareness of such engagements.
- Perform business development and presales work for opportunities within the security domain.
- Mentor less experienced consultants or architects.
- Participate in presales design of complex security solutions, guaranteeing global coherence across service, application, and infrastructure components.
- Act as trusted advisor to clients, mapping business strategy to security frameworks and technology architectures.
- Support execution of clients’ security governance roadmaps by coordinating design and implementation efforts.
- Collaborate with Transformation Consultants and client CISO or security managers to deliver strategic advice.
- Work with program managers and centres of excellence to ensure long-term client relationships.
- Identify additional opportunities and work proactively with sales teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor in ICT (Master preferred) and relevant certifications or proven knowledge in IT security (CISSP, CISM, CISA, etc.).
- Strong experience in designing, deploying, and supporting large security deployments.
- In-depth knowledge of current security offerings (Fortinet, Cisco, Palo-Alto, Checkpoint, etc.).
- Experience with security components (IAM, SASE, SSE, NAC, VPN, PAM, cloud security, etc.) and models (segmentation, zero trust) in hybrid environments.
- Understanding of security control frameworks (ISO27000, NIST, CIS, etc.), directives (NIS2, DORA, GDPR) and risk management processes.
- At least 5 years in architecture and consulting functions.
- Mandatory: French or Dutch as mother tongue, good verbal and written knowledge of the other language and English.
- Emotional and stress resilience, self-driven to achieve challenging goals.
- Strong business and technology savvy with understanding of applications, services, and infrastructure.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong initiative, innovation mindset, and ability to identify efficient solutions.
- Work flexibility and willingness to travel.
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to lead teams where appropriate.
- Eligible and prepared to obtain NATO clearance if necessary.
