Job description

The OFCI Manager serves as the Owner’s Representative responsible for developing and executing procurement and delivery strategies for critical data center equipment across complex construction programs. This role focuses on defining equipment category strategies, managing sourcing and supply chain activities, and ensuring alignment between procurement plans, construction schedules, and project milestones. Acting as the client’s lead for equipment planning, the OFCI Manager establishes actionable delivery strategies for each equipment category and manages execution against those plans to mitigate risk, maintain schedule integrity, and support successful project delivery., Planning, Procurement, and Strategy:

  • Serve as the Owner’s Representative responsible for developing procurement and execution strategies across all OFCI equipment categories
  • Define equipment requirements, specifications, and sourcing strategies aligned with overall project objectives and timelines
  • Develop category-based equipment execution plans, outlining procurement approach, lead times, logistics strategy, and key risk factors
  • Identify, qualify, and manage relationships with equipment manufacturers and suppliers, ensuring alignment with project requirements for cost, quality, and delivery performance
  • Establish and track procurement schedules across multiple equipment categories, ensuring alignment with construction sequencing and milestones
  • Proactively identify supply chain risks, including long-lead items, vendor constraints, and market conditions, and develop mitigation strategies

Supply Chain Execution & Management:

  • Manage execution of equipment procurement and delivery against established category plans
  • Track manufacturing progress, factory acceptance testing (FAT), delivery timelines, and readiness for installation
  • Coordinate logistics, shipping, warehousing, and staging strategies to ensure timely and efficient equipment delivery
  • Oversee vendor performance, including schedule adherence, quality compliance, and responsiveness to project needs
  • Coordinate closely with construction teams to align equipment delivery and installation sequencing

Integration, Installation, and Commissioning:

  • Interface with design, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure seamless integration of OFCI equipment into the project
  • Coordinate equipment delivery readiness with field teams to support efficient installation and minimize delays
  • Support commissioning planning and activities, ensuring equipment is delivered, installed, and tested in alignment with project requirements
  • Ensure that equipment interfaces and dependencies are clearly identified and managed across project stakeholders

Quality, Risk, and Reporting:

  • Develop and maintain accurate cost, schedule, and procurement tracking tools for all OFCI equipment
  • Monitor performance against procurement plans, identifying variances and driving corrective actions
  • Oversee QA/QC requirements to ensure equipment meets project specifications and quality standards
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, policies, and regulatory requirements across all OFCI-related activities
  • Provide regular reporting to project leadership on procurement status, key risks, and mitigation strategies
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of procurement, delivery status, vendor communications, and issue tracking

Stakeholder Coordination & Continuous Improvement:

  • Collaborate with project management, construction, procurement, and client teams to ensure alignment on equipment strategies and execution plans
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for OFCI-related coordination between stakeholders and vendors
  • Provide guidance and support to project teams on equipment planning, delivery sequencing, and installation readiness
  • Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes, supply chain efficiency, and overall program execution

Requirements

Do you have experience in Vendor relationship management?, * 5-10+ years of experience in construction, project management, or supply chain roles, with a focus on large-scale or mission-critical projects

  • Demonstrated experience in sourcing, procurement, and supply chain management for complex equipment packages
  • Strong understanding of data center equipment systems such as electrical infrastructure, mechanical equipment, and associated mission-critical components
  • Proven ability to develop and execute procurement strategies across multiple equipment categories
  • Experience interfacing with vendors, manufacturers, and contractors to manage procurement and delivery outcomes
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
