Job description

  • We will have you provide business intelligence support and analysis for our Policing for our Communities programme.
  • We will have you support the Business Intelligence Co-ordinator with analysis that helps develop organisational policy and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of operational policing services.
  • We will have you conduct data research, data analysis, data evaluation, and report writing using quantitative and qualitative techniques.
  • We will have you contribute to high-quality strategic business intelligence assessments combining police intelligence and organisational performance.
  • We will have you carry out environmental scanning focused on policing issues to support strategic planning and operational activity.
  • We will have you address business intelligence requirements at strategic and tactical level, developing theories around intelligence gaps and performance.
  • We will have you develop and maintain links with external partners in academia, government, and other public sector agencies.
  • We will have you prepare and deliver presentations and briefings on business intelligence analysis as required.
  • We will have you manage risk within all aspects of the role.

Requirements

  • We require applicants to be a British citizen, a member of the EU or other EEA state, a Commonwealth citizen, or a foreign national free of restrictions.
  • We require applicants to have been resident in the UK for a minimum of five years immediately prior to application.
  • We are looking for someone who can support business intelligence analysis and apply both quantitative and qualitative techniques.
  • We value experience in data research, data analysis, data evaluation, and report writing.
  • We expect candidates to be able to prepare and deliver presentations and briefings when required.
  • We need someone who can assess and self-manage risk across all aspects of the role.
