Job description

  • We provide proactive and reactive support for estate management across multiple customers.
  • We resolve incidents and complete change requests.
  • We focus on improving first-time fix rates.
  • We ensure SLA targets are met.
  • We manage calls and incidents, including wider call management.
  • We respond to service calls and resolve incidents.
  • We adhere to escalation procedures.
  • We assist with technical escalations for other team members.
  • We monitor the call queue and follow up with specialist support teams.
  • We adhere to customer and Computacenter security policies.
  • We participate in team and sector meetings.
  • We use ITSM tools to monitor incident progress.
  • We ensure incident records and associated paperwork are completed accurately.
  • We monitor and update the call management system as required.
  • We assist with SLA reporting.

Requirements

  • We need at least 5 years experience managing, maintaining, configuring, and troubleshooting large-scale hybrid environments.
  • We need at least 3 years experience with Microsoft Windows Server operating systems, Windows Active Directory, and Entra ID.
  • We need experience with VMware/Hyper-V.
  • We need a good understanding of ITIL Service Operations, including Incident, Request, Problem, and Change Management in a support role.
  • We need clear communication skills with peers and management.
  • We need to be self-driven and resourceful, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • We need flexibility to adapt to changing requirements, schedules, and priorities.
  • We need the ability to share ideas, make recommendations, and build team consensus.
  • We need excellent communication, writing, and meeting facilitation skills.
  • We need technical qualifications in Microsoft Windows Server, VMware vSphere, and Microsoft Azure Services.
  • We need familiarity with PowerShell for tasks and reporting.
  • We value in-depth 3rd Line Support experience resolving incidents in complex environments.
  • We value strong experience supporting server infrastructure in a hybrid multi-platform environment.
  • We value operational support expertise for identity services, including authentication, authorization, access, and federation.
  • We value accurate and logical problem-solving skills.
  • We value Active Directory deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting skills, including Group Policy.
  • We value Entra ID authentication and access control experience, including conditional access policies and enterprise application deployment.
  • We value experience supporting Microsoft Windows networking services such as DNS and DHCP.
  • We value experience managing anti-virus services and reporting.
  • We consider modern device management experience, such as Intune and Workspace ONE, advantageous.
  • We consider experience with Azure Privileged Identity Management and Identity Governance advantageous.
  • We consider Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate certification (AZ-800 / AZ-801) advantageous.
  • We consider Microsoft Identity and Access Administrator certification (SC-300) advantageous.
  • We consider experience with converged technologies such as Simplivity and UCS advantageous.
  • We consider virtualization experience with VMware and Hyper-V advantageous.
