Experteer Overview In this role you will contribute to high-performance FPGA and embedded firmware development for next-generation aerospace and defence systems. You will work within Edinburgh’s engineering team, collaborating with systems, electronics, and software engineers to deliver robust FPGA solutions. You’ll influence architectures while covering the full lifecycle from requirements through product release. The position offers exposure to cutting-edge FPGA/SoC technologies and requires eligibility for UK Security Clearance. Pay / Benefits * FPGA design and verification across the development lifecycle * embedded firmware development and system integration * supporting design reviews on multiple projects * collaborating with systems, electronics, and software engineers * influencing firmware architectures and working with latest FPGA/SoC technologies * contributing to requirements capture, architecture, RTL design, and product release Tasks * Strong FPGA development experience using VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog * Experience with Xilinx, Microchip (Microsemi), or Lattice FPGA devices * Knowledge of FPGA verification, timing closure, and embedded systems * Experience with SoC architectures and hardware integration * Strong communication and technical problem-solving skills * Must be eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance Key requirements *
