Staff Forward Deployed Engineer, Google Cloud Public Sector

Experteer Overview As a lead developer, you will move AI prototypes to production-grade agentic workflows that scale across enterprises. You will bridge Google AI products with customer infrastructures, building high-performance pipelines, observability, and secure integrations. You’ll identify friction points, convert them into reusable modules, and co-deliver with customer teams to ensure adoption and impact. You operate as a hands-on builder-consultant, delivering bespoke, ship-ready AI solutions within regulated environments while informing Google Cloud’s roadmap. Pay / Benefits * Lead development of production-grade AI applications and agentic workflows. * Architect and implement the connective tissue between Google AI products and customer infrastructure (APIs, data silos, security perimeters). * Build Eval pipelines and observability frameworks to meet accuracy, safety, and latency targets. * Identify repeatable field patterns and convert them into reusable modules or feature requests for engineering. * Co-build with customer engineering teams to ensure adoption and best-practice deployment. * Provide white-glove deployment and embed with strategic accounts to deliver production-ready AI systems. Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent practical experience * 8 years of software development experience using Python or similar languages * Experience delivering AI-driven solutions from concept to production on cloud platforms (GCP) * Experience building data pipelines for structured and unstructured data using vector databases and retrieval augmented generation (RAG) architectures * Experience leading technical discovery sessions with customers * Active, or ability to obtain, SC UK security clearance Key requirements *
