Experteer Overview As an eCommerce Developer at Softcat, you will build and enhance the eBusiness portal to deliver features that meet customer and business needs. You’ll translate requirements into efficient technical solutions and work with internal teams and partners to implement API integrations. You’ll maintain existing functionality and optimize the platform for speed and scale. This role sits in the collaborative eBusiness team that aims to simplify buying for customers while driving efficiencies. You’ll have the chance to grow across the business and shape a market-leading online experience. Pay / Benefits * Analyze requirements and define efficient technical solutions * Develop clean, working code from specifications * Collaborate with internal stakeholders and third-party partners on API integrations * Support, maintain and fix existing functionality * Optimize the platform for speed and scalability Tasks * Expert knowledge in Java with recent use of Java 21 * Proficiency in SQL, JSON, HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript, Groovy, and other web development languages * Knowledge of Python, CXML, Azure would be beneficial * Experience with e-commerce platforms * Git technologies/experience and GitLab would be beneficial Key requirements * Hybrid working * Flexible hours * Flexibility around school pick up/drop offs * Supportive team culture * Autonomy to realise potential
